No brainer but for space challenged folks like me keeping a 4x8 sheet of foam is a hassle. That is unless you cut it up into tiles and then put them back together for a cut. Blue tape keeps them from moving and it all seems to work nicely. I have to admit that once I used foam it was a big "duh" moment for me. I guess I was waiting for Festool to make a big green sheet of special "Festool" foam for me to spend foolishly on.

The Festfoam panel cutting device is still awaiting UL approval, but I hear that breaks down into pieces which fit into a couple maxi-systainers, and then enterlocks like those fatigue relieving floor mat thingies.

But, yeah, I cut up the pink stuff into easily movable units, I didn't bother with any tape though, just lay it on the floor.

Speaking of tiles- When I work in someone's house I take  a bunch of those interlocking grey foam "fatigue relieving floor mat thingies" to protect my client's floor. When I need to trim something I flip a few upside down and go, after very carefully checking the plunge depth.
