Folding rule

I ordered the starrett brass slider ,from mc master carr, lufkin came in its place, saw it at home depot the next week, for a dollar or two less.

There are two versions of the Festool folding rule. One is all metric NAINA and is OK quality wise. The other was produced for the NA market by Stabila and is metric/imperial, limited production.  Neither have the slider.

Thanks Seth,

I was after the slider and thought that if Festool did make one, it would have that feature. Looks like Starrett is the one.

I bought the festool metric one here in Canada. Nothing special about it. I have a stabila metric/Imperial and is a real nice wooden one, no slider and I hate combo measurements. And I have wiha plastic water proof one, Imperial, with a slider.  That's my go to ruler. I had a starrett wooden one for years with a brass slider and that was great but snapped on me one day and I have a real old craftsman one with a brass slider that I don't want to break..I think I like the wiha the best.
