For CMS owners. DIY inserts?

What would be better for a router table in your opinion. Adapting an original aluminium insert (the track saw one for example, not the dedicated router one) or making one in mdf or plywood?
Is a DIY insert (with the rebates) sturdy enough to hold a big router (5kg aprox) without bending?
Which material would be better?

What router are you trying to fit into a CMS, and do you already own it? Do you already own a CMS? Is portability a requirement? Is a small foot print a requirement? Would be good to put what country you are in?? The CMS isn't available all around the world.

I have an old CMT 2000W router which is the same as the Dewalt 625. Big 5kg router.
I´m about to purchase a second hand CMS without inserts. That´s why I´m asking.
I need to pack after usage so portability is a must. I already have a CS 50 table saw and I love the way I can move around and pack it.
I´m in Spain. It is not available new from Festool but they appear used from time to time

I used the CMT (DW625 equiv) in a home made router table that I made to fit on the end of my MFT3. The top was made from a really high quality piece of plywood which had formica bonded on both sides. The router had the rods used with the fence fixed in place. I had a rebate on the underside of the plywood top to within about 6 mm (I can't remember exactly and the top went years ago). I cut two channels that took the fence rods to the halfway of their thickness (5 mm probably) and then fixed brackets above to clamp those rods firmly in place. Here are the only pictures that I could find:

Cool. That's exactly the same router I have.
I have done a similar aproach directly under the mft table

But I prefer to have a dedicated table for the router and I have the oportunity to buy a cms
