At the risk of sounding like a jail-house lawyer, what you've described would be considered a lottery. Requiring a purchase to get a chance to win something is as illegal as the day is long (unless you're the state or a casino).

DAMHIKT, I once had to tell a client we needed to throw away $15,000 in printed materials because we failed to include a legitimate way to enter the contest that didn't require a purchase.

You've heard this before 'or you can write your name on a 3 X 5 card and mail it to....' Then you really need to write the name of every purchaser on a 3X5 card and draw.

NAINA for most things, SteveD
