That's funny...that's also the first thing I noticed. My first thought was "Is this guy a machinist or a woodworker"? [poke]

Not to derail this topic but........I scored the base cabinets in the mid 80s for $25 each when the company I was working for was going to close its doors.  I couldn't resist adding more over time even though I'm not a machinist.  [big grin]

Too late for free tools !  [embarassed]

But! Like others have noted

Stacks of Kennedys !  [eek] [big grin]

what was the prize at the end?
Funny you should ask. A pair of these was just delivered. I think they'll come in handy. "Low Profile Track Clamp."

They look handy.  What is the overall height when fully closed?  I'm hoping they may work with the orange LV saddle clamp set up as that would allow for clamping in tight spaces.

Three inches, fully closed. Maximum throat fully opened: ~1 5/16"  And yes, an accompanying note specifies that they were designed to work with the Veritas Panel Platform Kit.

Might be why they made them.

[member=46611]Dogberryjr[/member] , thank you for the info.  Now I just need to see them get added to the LV catalog  [smile]

Mine showed up today too, totally unexpected. I had forgotten about this until I saw a box on the porch and then saw it was from  LV. Even then I thought to myself that I had not ordered anything lately what could it be. Then I read Rob's note and it came back.

The clamps look great and a nice compact size. They fit easily in the Systainer with my TSC55 and that is where they will be from now on so that I won't be searching for them when needed.

I checked and they fit my DeWalt TS rails too and they will probably fit many other brands.

Thank you Rob, much appreciated.

Mine arrived today!  These are going to be great with the panel platform kit, which I still haven't broken out of the box.  Hope to put both through their paces this upcoming weekend.  The rubber bumpers on the clamp arms are a thoughtful touch.

Thanks Rob!
