Now I know the TS55 and FSK rail are not compatible, but has anyone tried a mod to get them to fit? I have the TS55 but I have not seen a close up of the FSK rail.
[eek] [eek] [eek] [eek] Well if you don't even have a FSK rail, why are you even interested in what might be a dangerous modification. And an FSK rail with the bungee saw return offers no advantage within the design peramaters of the TS55. A HK55 saw however can be used on the TS rails.
If on the other hand you are actually discussing how to join a TS and FSK rail; there are no aligning joining slots and the FSK rail is wider.

Not something I have researched and I don't have an HK to actually look at. However I think the plunge saw action combined with the rail return action of the HK rail would probably be a bad idea. Also this type of tool modification (pictures, video, directions) is not allowable for posting on the FOG at Festool's direction (Festool owns this forum). Due to genuine safety concern for people, and liability concerns.
Er, well, I might be thinking about getting one. Secondly I don't do dangerous mods. Saws are dangerous anyway, and there are plenty of configurations I have seen, as produced by manufacturers, which I wouldn't go near.
