K-119 is now an authorized Fuji Spray dealer!

Fuji Spray was actually introduced to us by one of our main Festool clients, regarding Fuji as one of the best value HVLP systems on the spray market today.

Any of you guys have experiences (good or bad) with Fuji?  Would love to hear more feedback!

I have no issues with my Q4, it has performed flawlessly.

I have a Fuji Q4 Gold HVLP system and really like it.
It's well made unit and Fuji customer service is excellent!
When I bought my system, the 90 degree nipple that connects the pressure tube to the gravity cup was broken. I called Fuji Corporate and they sent me a new one. I got it the next day.

I have the older XPC guns (siphon and gravity).
I like the look of the new guns.
I have not used any other HVLP turbine guns so I cannot give you any feedback on the merits of one brand over another.

I bought a whip hose when I bought my system and it does make spraying much easier.

Fuji doesn't market their PPS conversion well, and doesn't offer this as an alternative setup like Accuspray does, but I believe for the professional this is a great solution.

How do these compare to Apollo?

Very briefly spoke with one of our clients today who purchased the new Q4 Gold + T75G Gravity Gun System last week.  He has used both Apollo and previous Fuji Spray (XPC gun) systems, and most notable he said was cleaning of the guns - the Fujis being incredibly easier to clean.  He also noted a simpler, more elegant mechanical design of the newest T-series guns - ease of adjustment, ease of disassembly for cleaning.  You can tell Fuji listened to feedback from the XPC and improved on the T-guns.

His exact words in the end were:

"There are better spray systems on the market no doubt that would spray a 10 out of 10, but at 2-3x the cost.  The Fuji, at $995, will spray a 9, maybe even a 9.5.  It's your call whether undetectable perfection is worth twice the price."

I have the older style gravity Fugi gun. I'm pretty sure I prefer it's design to the new on. The pressure pot line works well with the side fitting.

I agree with Tim on the PPS. I had to source the parts from another supplier.

While we're at it will the new lid fit on the old XPC cup? Mine the pressure tube fitting broke. I know just use the PPS, I'm kinda ......, about my tools. If so you want to ship me one and a few seal kits?

It would be great if you could give a little more context here.
Sorry to be "picky"
Is your customer referring to turbine HVLP systems when he makes the comment above, or all other HVLP systems. Comparing any turbine HVLP system to spraying with the best HVLP systems really isn't a realistic comparison IMO.

Ya next time he comes back in I'll ask him more questions to clarify.  Fuji is a new product line for K-119 and I wish I was more fluent in the spray universe to give you guys more information and feedback on the fly - please bear with me and my learning curve.  Afterall, you guys are the professionals  ;)

Ha Tim beat me to it.

Yes try giving Fuji a call - their direct support is awesome.

The new lids (or old lids, depending on how you look at it - same part #s) do fit both new T and old XPC bottom feed cups.

Get a torch tip cleaner, best thing to clean the air cap offices.

Any chance of someone having a howto on doing the PPS conversion for the Xpc gravity guns with photos?

I've been following another thread here about these conversions, but fail to find anything with pictures or video about the conversion process...

There's this video that's been floating around...

I actually just called Fuji on the conversion process, since K-119 has only started carrying FujiSpray since July of this year with the T-Series release so we're quite unfamiliar with the XPC guns (for now!).  Fuji said they've in fact recently been experimenting and have more details to add-to the video's process.  Once they finalize their notes, they'll be in touch with me early next week.  Will follow up when I get more info!

You need to order this adapter;

http://3mcollision.com/products/paint-application/paint-preparation-system/pps-adaptors/3m-pps-adapter-10-16017.html

[attachthumb=#1] Gun with stock cup.

[attachthumb=#2]Fitting and cup removed.

[attachthumb=#3]Adapter

[attachthumb=#4]Adapter top view showing number 10.

[attachthumb=#5]Adapter on gun.

[attachthumb=#6]Small cup and cover (I did not install a liner for demo)

[attachthumb=#7]Small cup locked on gun, notice tabs grab adapter.

[attachthumb=#8]Side view of small cup on gun.

[attachthumb=#9]Large cup with medium liner, each cup takes a couple of different liners.

[attachthumb=#10]Large cup locked to gun.

[attachthumb=#11]Side view with pressure hose attached.

I forgot to attach the hose to the small cup, you can see the port in the picture.

You do loose the kick stand with this system, you need a place to hang the gun.

You'll need to order the cups and liners that best suit your needs. The liner caps have filters built into them.
