I have become not just a ""Festool Junkie"" but a ""Festool snob"".  I purchased a C12 cordless with many of the accessories and a 300 EQ jigsaw within the last month.
Over the weekend we had a garage sale and I sold my three Dewalt Drills, Bosch jigsaw, and my Dewalt miter saw.  No luck selling my other tools.  Along with these proceeds and proceeds from some golf clubs, I purchased a TS 55EQ plunge saw today.
Needless to say the spouse was not pleased.  She muttered something unintelligible in a pitch that only a dog might hear about a Dysan vacuum cleaner, new sheets, clothes, etc.
I just do not understand why she can't get her priorities straight.  Any advise to help her out would be appreciated.

Hey Neill

Welcome to the slippery slope!!!

Nothing wrong with selling off tools you don't use for some that you will. I've done it many times.

Make sure your wife gets that new vac sometime in the near future so you can buy some more

Cheers

Neill,

Be creative........

My best advise to help her understand "why Festool" is to show her in a way that she understands from a health/environmental point of view.......... Hold off in getting rid of your Porter/Cable orbital sander with that little dust attachment tube it comes with, go out and purchase an ETS/150 or a RO/150 with a Midi or CT22 vacuum combo, (showing the 30 day return policy)

Take for instance that drywall patch you've been meaning to get to in the dinning room.
(the one next to the next to the china & linens)
Do the patching (2 foot wide at least)(don't cover anything with plastic) and before you sand it down, start with the P/C while wearing a black shirt. Work on about a foot of that patch, then stop, (she'll probably suggest you stop beforehand) and then change to a different black shirt and finish off on the other side with the Festool combo.

See the smiles.     ........it's a start.

Hi Neill,

Festool vac's are way cooler than dyson vac's. If you purchase a festool vac I'm sure she'd be thrilled.

Buy the CT22 or 33 and let her use that in the house, they work great.  Dual purpose you can't beat that.

I had the kids vac the house yesterday with the CT 22.

They really enjoy that vac and so does my wife  ;D
