Poked around my Tapatalk and was quite suprised to see half a dozen of the forum members nicely plotted on the map and you can even zoom down to house number levelish...

I find this loss of location privacy quite disturbing and just can't fathom why anyone would like to broadcast their location like in 4sq intentionally much less in an unintentional way like with Tapatalk.

If you download the extension Tap-NO-MORE-TALK, it allows you to transfer coordinates to your ICBM via bluetooth  [eek]

It's worse, reiska. I can also see what other boards you've been viewing....

Don't worry, I won't tell your wife! [devil]

I'm pretty sure there is a way to turn off the location service in tapatalk itself - it's in the settings somewhere. That being said, sometimes the settings in there are difficult to find. Personally it doesn't bother me, but I can definitely see why it would bother most people. If anyone shows up at my house, please bring beer with you.

Peter is right.  Ipad tapatalk Settings gives you a geotagging option to turn it off.

My three year old hijacked my iPad for the Summer so I'm on my iPhone today. Open Tapatalk, go to settings, geotagging, and turn off "link in post" and "tapatalk network". Should make it go away.

Yes, I turned the geotagging off and the map menu entry vanished. What seems to be a bug in tapatalk is that when I re-enabled the geotagging feature the map menu entry didn't reappear ?!?

Ah, clarification. You can only see the "settings" option when you are not "in" a forum site.
