The Kapex is a great machine and works well with minimal dust. I like the table and UG extensions myself as it folds away into a pretty small package when not in use. Of course I do not transport my saw and use it in my shop. I still need to be able to break it down and move it around. I also have the crown stops that I find handy for smaller cuts. Get some clamps to help clamping boards to your Kapex (like a homemade crown stop).
What other projects are you going to do? Sanders, routers, Domino, drills...it is a slippery slope. Agree that taking some classes and learning if this is something you want to do first my be prudent. OTOH, Festool's hold their value very, very well and so it is not a super risky slide if you decide later that it is not for you.
