I have this wiha flipmagic manetic bit holder. The bit holder came with the magnet stuck on the hex shank. It obviously had come unstuck out of it socket at the top of the bit holder and someone just pushed it onto the hex shaft.

What I need help with is what type of glue should I use to stick it back into the bit holder?  I was concerned if I used superglue the bond may fail under the stress of screwdriving.

The black sleeve if I can remember correctly is made of glass fibre reinforced stainless steel.

Fix all
Or
Sticks like

Either of those will do the trick and won't let you down

Or a resin glue.

I always have a few tubes of fix all in my van and workshop so I would use fix all.

I'd have said resin too, but [every day is a school day] Fix All looks like good gear. I love Soudal stuff too.

I use 3M VHB tape. This is how I repaired my Festool magnetic bit holders and the CSX.

Thanks guys. I'll try fix all, never used it before. What resin glues would be an alternative?

I'd clean the mating surfaces well with acetone and then use a very small dab of GE or Dow silicone caulk. The silicone will also provide a little cushion for the magnet just like the VHB tape will.
