I have had a few of these for a while because I had intended to give them to a few people who use the centrotec system. Little did I know that this newer model of Centrotec Hand Driver is absolutely atrocious. IT'S AWFUL. They moved over to this Wera setup which is quite nice from a quick on/off but for a CENTROTEC handle it is terrible.
First off...it wobbles! Since the Centrotec shafts are longer, they are expected to catch a notch to keep it stable. Well the Wera connector is just their standard one, it doesn't make use of any centrotec technology and just loosly holds the bit in. The long Festool bits then proceed to WOBBLE. You use a standard hand screwdriver and it wobbles? How bad is this.
Second off....IT WOBBLES IN A SECOND SPOT! The actual holder that you sit your bit in also wobbles in the handle! So the bit wobbles in the bit holder and then the bit holder wobble in the plastic handle! It's incredible how poor of a product this is.
So...since I a feeling generous right now. Anyone who wants one of these terrible screwdriver handles....it's all yours. Just cover S/H and I will get it out to you. If you're in NYC and can pick it up. I'm happy to meet you.
P.S. If someone wants to find me an older model that uses the centrotec connector, I would be very happy w/ you and happy to pay for it.
