Picked it up at Woodcraft today and just got done  unpacking and testing everything. I cant believe how quiet the CT Mini is!.  Didnt try sanding anything yet, but tried connecting the sander to the dust extractor to make sure everything works OK.  Works great on the Auto mode, but on Manual mode the sander wont turn on. According to the instructions the outlet on the CTMini should be hot in both Auto and Manual modes. Is this correct? I  cant get the sander to operate when the CT Mini is in Manual mode.  Is there a trick to this or should I call Festool?

thanks Bob.  Probably misread the instructions.  Now my next task is to figure out all the sandpaper options. ???

oops.......sorry for the gloat. Didnt mean it as a gloat.............. ;).  Actually I had posted a question several weeks ago about choosing a sander, and just wanted to tell everyone of my decision to purchase the ETS 150/5. I guess one could call it a gloat, maybe because its my first Festool tool, and Im darn proud of my decision to finally get  Festool in my shop. :) And based on what I have seen so far of the sander and dust extractor, there will be more gloats to come> ;D

Nah you are just asking a question Rex. I'm the one gloating.  And what's wrong with gloating. Anyhow?

congrats on the purchase rex. i am sure you will get decades of care free use from both your new festool toys!

regards, justin.

BOB,

SORRY FOR SHOUTING.  I REALIZE THAT I MAY BE PUNISHED BUT I WANTED TO GET OVER THE DIM AT THE CONCERT.

O.K.  you can hear me know. Gloat and rock on.

Good decision to get Festool into your shop and that sander (and the very similar 150/3) will be a joy to use. CONGRATULATIONS.
