I have a copy of NatGeo from last year (I think) that included a pull-out poster of that picture! It really is an awesome tree.

I read an article recently about the Sequoias and other large redwoods being hacked up at the bases for their burls by druggies. They are selling the wood to support their habits. What a shame. I visited Sequoia National Park in the late 80s as a kid and it was amazing. I'd like to go back again.
