Questionnaire

Hello!

Sorry all, for not giving more information. I'm a student at Georgia Institute of Technology. I'm getting my masters in Industrial Design and have chosen Festool to a strategic design overview, which basically is just analyzing the companies offerings and services and then looking for "white space" - areas where new innovation or product development could occur. This is your first post and I could use a little more info before answering.

What grad degree are you working on?  Where are you going to school?  What is the purpose of this survey?

Hey, Matt. Welcome to the FOG. Can you give a little background about your studies and your project? I assume that FOG members will be willing to help out if they feel comfortable doing so, but some background and context would be helpful.
 
Survey Monkey is your friend. Get to know people here with a few posts and introduce yourself. Then ask if they'll respond to a well structured survey.

Also, think on your Q2 .. shouldn't it be "people", not "customers"?

I might suggest that a better way of getting information like this would be to contact Festool USA directly.  When a question like this appears on a public and anonymous forum it usually comes across as- but isn't always - spam.  Unfortunately over the years we have seen these types of requests several times.

An aside from the questionnaire: It seems like the answers to those questions are all over the FOG.  If someone could write a bot that would index and analyze all of the "feelings" expressed here, I think a more accurate picture of what people think and do would be formed without direct questioning.  Of course, it could also be used for targeted advertising purposes as well.
 
I'd like to help with the research project, but very leery of clicking on unknown links.

If MATTG108 would like to actually handle a number of Festool products he could PM me.
