I saw a Festool video that showed a systainer filled with an assortment of the new Granat hand sanding products.

Is anyone offering this as a product or is it a "fill it up yourself" method?

That Granat systainer was a one time only offer. I searched for it a while ago and found it at aw-tools.de -- they may have some left. Use the search function on their site with product number 202510. Don't know if they ship outside the EU...

If you guys want to discuss importing Festool products to US, bypassing their distribution network, or circumventing fixed price policy, then do it privately, and not on Festool owned and run forum. Let the recent story with one of the UK distributors be a lesson.

Do you have a link to that story- was it posted here on FOG?  [blink]

I agree in principle, but what distribution network?

Half of what people discuss wanting to get is NAINA, so they are not bypassing anything except a theoretical network.

Also 230v tools.

... and then there is what FT in Australia and 3-500$ more than the same tool out of Europe... Which is Festool Au distribution network.

Somewhere between the computer systems and employees at the order fulfillment center, Axminster was mistakingly shipping
orders outside of the regional boundaries that they were contractually obligated to recognize.

It's interesting to observe that no one is presuming that Axminster has google alerts set up, found out about the situation and said, "oh nose" and fixed their problem without Festool's intervention.  :0

There's 110v tools in the UK we don't have.    [big grin]
Also ran, there are 110v tools we have but the UK doesn't have, for some reason.
I could make a side-living, shipping 110v Syslite Duo's to the UK, unless that's been squared up already. :0
