Great gift but.... syslite

One of my clients who I have been working on their home with a laundry list of updates, repairs and new furniture pieces, was in Germany last week. They know all about my Festool collection as they have seen me work in their home and keep it clean with my tools. They thought they would get me something nice when they popped into Kustermann hardware in Munich. The thing they forgot was that the power adapter is 240V and not 110. I went on to EKAT to find a US power adapter for the syslite since the battery adapter output is 12V 1 A. But they do not list the power adapter part numbers online. Has anyone else got a syslite from Europe and got it adapted for north America? I know I could buy an off brand power adapter, but I would rather get a festool one.

Looking at the spare parts manual it appears that the power adaptor has interchangeable pin plug modules and can work on either 110 or 240 volts. You should be able to buy a 110v plug module from spare parts.

You can also get a car power adaptor.

There are 2 versions of the ekat partslists on the festoolusa site, on the first there is a partnumber (and price) listed.

It's a lot more expensive than I expected.

The carcharger should have come as standard with the light aswell.

Thanks, i got a plug end adapter and attached it to the power adapter. took a multimeter and checked to output voltage and I had a good 12V output, So all is good. I did get the 12V car adapter and the great thing about this set from Germany is it also had the magnetic base stand (499814) in the case too, which is a seperate purchase here in the states.

Sweet present!  I have a syslite...sure...like all Festool products, it's expensive for a light, but it was awesome to use when i had to change the shift linkage while working on my car.  Bright, no cords, lasted for hours while I was under the car.  Enjoy the new koolaid!
