As most of you know Bessey bought Gross Stabil and shut them down.  Bessey will not make a clamp like these anymore. Some how Woodpecker found a limited quantity. For those who do not know Woodpecker is a top notch company to deal with. They only have 12 inch and 24 inch but until they sell what they have. If you like them and thought they were gone forever here is a last shot. (12 " 13B-PC2- 12S with coupon code GSPC4@$18.99)(24" 13-PC 2-24S with coupon code GSPC7@$19.99) I received 10 of both sizes today and they are the good ones. I ordered 10 more 24'' ones.http://www.woodpeck.com/pc2clamps.html and use code listed above.

Hi,

Do they operate well?  I am not trying to knock them, and I don't have any to go by. But I checked them out one time in a store looong time ago, and they just seemed sort of clunky to use. Maybe my memory is poor on it though.

They're a little stiffer than the old k-body style, but the nice thing is that you can open the jaw up to the right size for a glue up, stand them up on end and they'll stay at the opening; the k-bodies just come crashing back down.  Makes some of those harried glue up's a little less stressful.

They also have a slightly larger clamping capacity  than the k-bodies (both jaw size and opening between them) and they have removable plastic pads.

They are very nice.  I bought some from woodpecker when they had their first close out sale.  One thing that is nice on the gross stabil is you can adjust the tension on the moving part of the clamp so it moves very freely or less so.  They are excellent clamps in every way.  Woodpecker was also great to deal with and charged a very reasonable amount for shipping.

I just tried to use coupon code and it said it expired.  Does anyone have a valid code for the 12"?

I think it expired last Friday at midnight. If it comes back I will post again. They have a 800 number.                                                                                                                                                                      You might call to see if they would give you an extension on the expired time.                                                                                                                                                                                                          I would join their E club first. It cost you nothing. Woodpecker sends Email specials each week with a time limit. I heard about it here on FOG. I have bought from them and found them to be good people to deal with. Solid products like Festool.

I've got maybe 20 of them now, the last 10 bought through Wookpecker's closeout specials. I like them a lot and wish they were still in business. Keep the serations on the bar wiped clean of any glue drippings as they're a bit of a pistol cleaning it off after it's cured and it will really jam up the head being able to slide. I bought a couple Gros Stabil regular clamps years ago at a WW show and loved them. Woodpeckers has had a nuber of those on closeout prices too. If they still have any of those left, I'd highly recommend them. They're built like tanks. These are the ones with red jaw faces vs the yellow on the parallel clamps.
