Photos show an led flashlight mounted on a copper tubing mast and attached to a guide rod with a 3/8" copper tee. A brass nut is soldered to the tee and provides for clampling the assembly to the guide rod. The ends of the long side of the tee are filled with a short length of 1/2" dowell and then through bored to the 8mm diameter of the guide rod. Another nut is soldered to the end of the mast and the standard hardware clip is fastened to the mast. The white base is a circle jig designed by harrysin at routerforums.com.
The nylon screw in the photo was too soft. It is now a steel 10-24 screw. Plenty of light on the workpiece with this 14 led light.
