I love my domino 500 and I love using it with the Seneca Domiplate. The problem is the hairline scratches on the bottom of the machine make it difficult to see the upside down center line. I handle it with a black marker. I was wondering if anyone has ever used a polish on the bottom to remove hairline scratches. If so, what?              Thanks

You might try "Flitz"  it's a paste polishing compound similar to valve grinding compound.  Some apply it with a smooth cloth and buff with the same, I use my Dremel, being very careful - light touches.  Hope this helps.

I've deepened the indicator lines on mine (carefully) using a sharp carbide a scoring tool. (steel scoring blade would probably work too)

The lines are a little larger (width) but a lot easier to see and the marker fill helps some too.

The light wear scratches still abound, never really considered polishing the plate, might give it a try but I quite often sit the base on a surface to index so scratches will return rather quickly anyway.
