hammer k3 winner micro adjustment help

Hey  decided to order micro adjustment for hammer k3 winner and it has no instructions on how to install proper anyone have any help on this not sure of how all the nuts and washers go

I have an adjuster  very similar to that  on a  hammer combination machine  which adjusts  the planer beds.
Are you sure  you have received the correct  component?

I put one on my Hammer K3.  I found it's operation very clunky. So the way I operate it requires me to turn the micro-adjust knob all the way to the left til it stops.  Then I slide the fence over close to where it is close to where I need and and then I twist the knob to the right until the fence lines up with the exact mark on the scale.  This seems clunky to me because in my mind, twisting the knob to the left EVERYTIME before I use it is a PITA.  Is this the way it should work??

It is a MICRO adjuster, set the fence to the required dimension and if the test cut is not quite right fine adjust the dimension to correct it. Most times it should take no more than a couple of turns and usually less. It is not meant to do major dimension changes at all.

BINGO - I use mine to fine tune only. Set the fence to the approx mark, run a tape measure from the blade edge to the fence, adjust as necessary, lock it down.
