Has anyone made this mistake?

I forgot to slide my fence back to make a bevel cut.  I had been doing straight or miter cuts all day then on my first bevel cut seemed a bit tough to get through.  Then I realized what I had done.  The blade still cut good afterwards.

ehh no biggie just throw a new fence on there. youll cover the ugly while having better stock support.

Yes it did hurt but life goes on.  I am planning on putting on another fence, not to cover up my mistake though.

I hope I don't do it twice but there is always that possibility.

Just your title had me curious to see if there was a new mistake that I haven't made yet.  What's wrong with a zero clearance fence [wink]

yep - doesn't hurt much and good job you had a proper blade in there - a 24t rip blade would have turned out a bit different.
