Has Anyone Tried These Bosch Clamps on the MFT or Rails???

Mr_hockey,

Thanks for posting this item!

I did not previously know that Bosch makes clamps, or that Bosch makes a guide rail system for their jigsaw.

Do the Bosch clamps fit Festool's Guide Rails?
Do the Bosch clamps fit the channels in Festool's MFTs?

I hope someone can provide a definitive answer.

Also, may I suggest that you change the title of your thread to make it more descriptive so others searching through FOG topics can more easily locate items of interest to them?

Well add in the shipping and they are not really that much cheaper. Everytime I purchased the Festool clamps I got free shipping so the price is fairly close. Those almost look like they may not work in the mft table holes. Is anyone sure they will?

Nice find though, I have never seen this Bosch version before.

I do remenber that rail for the jigsaw.(never used it)
I think the clamps are made by BESSEY for BOSCH.
It is most likely that they will fit the festool guide rail or MFT.(IMO)

I got 10 of these when they went on sale for $9 each, with free shipping.

They don't fit in the t-slots or rails, but they do fit in the first 2 rows of dog holes around the edge of the MFT. If I ground them just a little bit they would slide into any hole.

Jim, I don't understand why those Bessey clamps will fit the first 2 rows of holes around the edge of an MFT but not the rest of the holes in an MFT top.  Please explain.

Dave,

When your further back in the table the other side of the clamp hits the table and won't let it angle into the hole.  On the first two rows the other side of the clamp extands over the edge and lets you angle it in.

Dave,

The pad on the end of the J part has to go straight down into the dog hole to hook under the table. The only way you can do that is if the sliding part is hanging over the edge of the table.

I'm pretty sure if I ground the pad to make it skinnier, or if I ground the hump just under and behind the pad, I think it could wiggle into any hole. So far, I have enough Festool clamps that I haven't needed to do that.

The Amazon link to the Bosch says "Clamps" meaning plural. I'm assuming two for the price of $22.86 right? If so, and they fit, that is a much better deal than Festool.

I tell you sometimes I feel like we are Apple computer users just waiting for Dell and others to get a license to make us some nice cheaper stuff. It doesn't all have to be Apple stuff (Festool).
