Has the C12 been discontinued?

I was on the Festool USA website and noticed the C12 has been removed from the lineup?  Has it been discontinued in favor of going with the CXS?

It does show both the c12 and c15 on the Dutch site, I can only see the c15 on US site. You might be right, the could drop the c12 and offer CXS or C15 instead.
Never held a c15 but big fan of c12, as long as the weight is ok I wouldn't mind going c15 eventually.

I have one of the pre-Lithium C12s and love it.  C15 has been on my shopping list for a while now; a C18 might be interesting should it ever emerge.  No real interest in the Festool T-handled drills.  Wouldn't get enough value out of the CXS right now, though I can easily see why some would.

I agree, I have the original and a T15 and love them both.  But, with the C12 being a 10.8 volt as well as the CXS...  I guess you don't need two 10.8 drills in your lineup!  A shame if that is the case.

There was an announcement made to dealers in mid-May that the C12 had been discontinued. I thought I remembered reading that being posted here on the forum.

Since the discontinuance of the C12 may not have been properly communicated before, I wanted to let forum members know that the T12 will be following the same fate being discontinued effective 12/23.

There should not be a concern about the availability of batteries, and of course all of our drills share the same accessories.
