I have one and it's a nice hose especially for sanding and other light duties.
I wouldn't use it with f.i. a planer because of the large chips that can obstruct the hose.
The electric cable comes in about 50 cm from the end and is in a separate channel.
However these separate black connectors do sometimes get stuck on the side of the work-piece.
I also covered the hose with a nylon sleeve from TechFlex to prevent the ribbed hose to damage the work-piece like plywood or veneered mdf. I also did hung the hose from the ceiling with a balancer so that it doesn't touch the work-piece.
These TechFlex nylon sleeves come in all kind of colours and qualities, like Festool (Neon) green.

Thank you for the qiuck reply.
As I understand would it not be a problem to use it with my TS55 REBQ and my OF1400 EBQ?

I also have that hose, and I don't really like it. I got it as a combo deal when I bought my ctl26 (at the introduction of the ctl26 you could get that hose for 50€ extra). It's much heavier and stiffer as a regular 27mm hose, and I bought an ex demo boom-arm for my old ct22 to which it's attached now to make it usable for me. (Maybe it's just me, I also absolutely hate using the 36 mm antistatic hose aswell).

For combining the hose and the cord, just using a sleeve on a regular hose is a more affordable and easier solution. (There are a few threads on the subject, I think most use a short length of heat shrink tube to secure the ends of the hose-sleeve)

The hose will work with both the ts55 and the of1400, but from experience I found that the OF1400 often benefits from using the 36 mm hose. (Personally I mostly use the non AS version of the 36 mm hose with my OF1400 because it's easier to handle)

I got one of these hoses as I was fed up with the cable wrapping around hose and everything else when picking up and putting down the tool multiple times.

I have not had a problem with hose getting blocked. Could see a planer been problem though. But I have had the black connectors at each end come undone a few times. The last time it happened I put it back together with a little sikaflex. Problem solved.

I also only use this hose when it's right for the job. Works well when ts55 is doing a lot of cutting. It's no good for cleaning up as the plug it bit swings around all over and come to think of it the hose got blocked. It is stiffer and heavier than standard hose.

I have one of the hoses, find it great with things designed for the 27mm hose like domino, jigsaw and rotex. Ok with ts 55 but have blocked it using of1400router. No use at all for vacuuming up, blocks too easily and a real pain to clear. I have had the black connectors come loose but not a problem to put back together.
