Just curious...

I was convinced right away that my Cxs was going back. Now it's practically the only drill I use.

I'm 20 days in with a carvex. Still on the fence.

I was about to reply that I've never returned any but I did return a BHS 65 early in my Festool journey because I thought it was a ball detent.

No.

I'm in no way trying to be a capital D, capital I, capital C, capital........you know...... [eek]

But, as a hobbyist, I research my Festool purchases before I make them.  If I can use a tool for a project and justify the purchase then I make it.

I don't buy a tool just to buy it.......like some guys......you know who you are..... [tongue]

BUT !    If I was to buy a tool and it did not live up to my expectations, I would return it.  For example...the CMS router table.

I would not buy it because I think it would not meet my expectations.

Some Festools are for the professionals.  Sometimes I need to remind myself this and keep the credit card tucked away in my wallet.  Sorry Mr. Bellemare!  [tongue]

I've known about their stuff for years. Just finally pulling the trigger on a few items.

I weigh the pros/cons of all pro tools, of course I'm sure no one buys a festool without being fairly certain they need it.

I probably wouldn't  have bought a single one of their tools if it weren't for the 30 day.

I think it's great that you can really see whether or not it's worth the premium price.

LOL !      Hang tight buddy.  You'll notice the collectors from the users.  LOL !      [wink]    [tongue]

[thumbs up]

Okay.....you got me.    I bought the VS600 and all the templates and have never used it !      The router bits are still brand new and unopened !  [eek]

LOL !  But hell, someday right?  LOL      [embarassed]  [tongue]

Never returned anything Festool. I never buy anything frivoluos anyway, I only buy a tool if I really need it, and I often spend weeks contemplating and researching before I buy something that's over €100. I always want to be sure at forehand I spend my money wisely.

Nope.  Like others I buy based on needs or highly anticipated needs.  When I bought my RAS i told my wife that if it didn't do what I needed it to do I would return it.  She laughed at me.

Nope.  I have never returned a single Festool.  That said, the fact I know I can along with the great warranty did factor into a couple purchases.

The only Festool I ever returned was the ETS 125 sander. I gave it a try and found it useless in my world. Then 2 years later tried it again and still found it useless. Everything else I have bought I'm extremely happy with or its been sold.

I have not returned any but if I had it to do over I would not buy the MFT/3.  There is nothing wrong with it but it doesn't fit into my regular methods, and it's not on wheels.  I like the idea but would probably just use the holes in my runout table and save the space. I still use the table saw for most things but the track saw can do a few things better and faster. I would use the money for some other tool like another sander.

I buy my tools for Need not want. If I can figure out a jig to do what I need to do I'll save the money and make the jig.
Another consideration is versatility I need a tool to be versitile.
My my mentor taught me 22 years ago it's all personal preference.

I returned a Carvex. Just didn't feel right in my hand. Also the button on the side of the handle you have to push before the trigger is awkward and uncomfortable. On the job I bought it for I kept getting my 17 year old Bosch back out.

I returned the ETS125 but walked away with the ETS 150/3 and the RO90.  The funny thing is that I went and bought the ETS125 later and after using it this week I sure glad I did.

The current project has me using my Domino, ETS150/3, ETS125, RO90,T-18 and my CXS and I still half of the project to complete and thanks to my CT22 I have a semi-clean shop.

No, i trust every power tool they make and after owning a few im a firm believer. its an obsession that really works out in my favor. [scared]

I returned a Festool sander because he coarse/fine switch didn't feel right. Bought the same sander a month later.

Almost returned my 2200 router due to its massiveness. Now, I lug it out whenever I need its power which is more than I first believed.
