Hello and a question about Kapex accessories.

Hello everybody, I've been a fan of Festool gear for a couple of years and after selling a lot of my DeWalt and Makita gear I'm in a position where I'm ready to place an order of my first Festool tools (Kapex120, Midi extractor and TS55).

My question is, I saw a video review of the Kapex UG stand and side extensions on youtube ( ) at 0:41 on the video he gets the side extensions out of his van in a holder and clips it to the UG stand. Do you get this holder in the UG set? it doesn't say on any sites that sell Festool kit and I've searched on here and never seen it mentioned. It just looks like two plastic cups connected by a nylon strap thats capable of clipping to the stand, if this doesn't come in the kit does anybody know the part number or a place it can be purchased from seems like it saves a trip to the van to get the extensions.

Those look like the protective end caps, and strap.  I can't remember off the top of my head if they are still supplied...  I haven't actually unboxed a set of these in a while.  They just go straight out the door whenever we get them in.

The part numbers from ekat are 700176 for the end caps (2 needed) and 700549 for the strap.

In the U.S./Canada the caps are included. You would need to check with your dealer since scope of delivery can change from country to country.

Thank you for the speedy reply guys and thanks for the item numbers I can now contact my supplier and he can look those up to see what I'm talking about, they are not the easiest things to describe.

Got a reply from my supplier and turns out the end caps and nylon strap are not included, but thanks to the above posts I have the part numbers so I'll order them separately. Again thanks for your replies.

When I ordered my KA-UG-R/L (497514) from Germany it was delivered WITH the strap and end-caps at no extra costs.
Otherwise it should be quite unhandy to transport and could damage too quickly.
Beware that it's only delivered with the Left and Right set.

Just as a note to future readers:  There have been changes in the scope of delivery for several tools and accessories in different countries.  You can always contact Festool in your country to verify the scope of delivery.

For what it's worth, I got the caps and straps down in Oz. Pretty sad if you buy KAPEX+UG Stand+Extensions and they stiff you for two plastic caps and a strap.

Playing with the "scope of delivery" is one thing - but that'd be just weak.

The UG-KA-Set in Oz is 497354 ... Maybe the come with the complete set ???

Was going to go and pick up my Kapex at the weekend but went tonight instead, got home, unboxed the LR extensions and they where neatly strapped together using two protective end caps and a nylon strap, so my supplier was wrong but I'm glad he was as its saved me £20 to buy them extra.
