Hello everyone,

I’m David from San Francisco.  Appropriately, I am a member of FOG now. 

I recently got a taste of the gateway drug in form of a CT26 and a ETS EC 150/3.

I’m looking forward to tips, tricks, and interesting project ideas here.

Probably advisable to give a warning if you didn't know already, if you plan on getting some of the fantastic mesh sanding discs, make sure you get an interface pad to protect the sander base from overheating and destroying the velcro tabs. They're really cheap and last ages I've found.

You won't believe how well the sander and dusty will perform with the mesh discs!

I had my first hands-on experience with FESTOOL more than 20 years ago when my tool salesperson suggested I use a FESTOOL sander with dust extraction for a particularly challenging sanding requirement.

This combination of tools outperformed my wildest expectations, and I haven't looked back since.

There are other tools and brands that offer good performance, too. However, I have yet to see a line of tools for woodworking which come with such a comprehensive SYSTEM of accessories. Makes for great woodworking experience. Enjoy!

I haven't seen any of the really thin ones for the RO90 like the ones for the 125/150, but Festool do have a thicker RO90 one for contours:

So far as I'm aware there aren't any for the RS2. I checked my 150 interface pad but none of the holes line up for the RO90 so can't cut one of them down.
