Hello, new member from MA

Hi, my name is Andy and I wanted to introduce myself to the group.

I have lurked at FOG for a while and now that I have been building up my Festool war chest, I felt I should try and join in with the discussion. With over 25 years as a builder/carpenter/contractor and after wearing out my own joints, I'm looking to shift into woodworking and mastering furniture making. I have very much enjoyed and learned from the short time spent checking out the group.

My Festool problem started a couple months ago after my 18 year old Makita LS1211 finally gave out. I tried to resist but the midnight blue and green took hold of me. I have been on a bender ever since the first cut with the Kapex, adding a TS, a OL, CT and XL to the shop.

Hope I can contribute and I look forward to checking in often.

Hi Andy!

Welcome to the FOG.  I will ditto what Seth said - you need to go to JLClive and the Festool Connect event.  Take the train.  The train station is only about 2 blocks away from the convention center.

Last year I flew into Boston and then took the train.  A lot cheaper.  Plus my brother lives in Jamaica Plains so I got a couple of hours before going and a day after.
