Good Morning, New to the group.
10 years ago, we began restoring our Log House.  My brother introduced me to Festool in the form of a RAS and an RO150 FEQ.
Since then, we have put on hundreds if not over a thousand hours on our Festools.

We are adding on to the house and refinishing the new logs, sanding them smooth.  And the RO150 stopped working.  Looking it over, it looks like the brushes are worn down to nubs.
Looking in my owners manual, the diagram calls out 494062.  Looking at the Festool site, it calls out 494145.
I called Festool to order a pair and the individual who answered said that tools over 10 years old aren't supported any longer.

My question is this; is there a direct replacement part that I can order from somewhere to give my tool, made in 2008, an extension of life?  What are my options?

Help would be appreciated!
Thanks
Kevin

I would contact them and ask to speak with a manager.  Before you do that, check the manufacture date on the tools label for the official tool part number and the manufacture date.  Also check out this page on the Festool USA website.  You might find it interesting.  The policy is 10 years after discontinuation- not 10 years.  Hope this helps:  https://www.festoolusa.com/service/warranty-all-inclusive/original-parts-guaranteed

They didn't have any issue repairing my RO-150 from about 2005 or so about 9 months ago to get it back to "good as new". That included replacing some gears and they also changed the brushes while it was there.
