HELP PLEASE : CMS Set or Basic model?

I am planning to purchase a CMS table this week but I can't decide on the set or not?

as for the set, I don't need the extra hoses . I don't want the out feed table as I would use my MFT .

so the only question is the sliding table and miter gauge really worth the additional $400?

me and my friend don't think so but I'd like some other in put on it.

to the owners of the CMS , do you actually use your sliding table or is it just collecting dust? Thanks

I use my slider all the time. Love it.

I use the slider. If nothing else, it provides additional side support!

Buy the basic and get the slider. I have an extra fence setup in you need one.

You won't regret the CMS.

I definitely use the slider and the associated fence, especially when routing door rail ends.  I do have to remember to square the main fence perpendicular to the sliding fence to keep everything aligned right.

I used my CMS for the first time last weekend.  I used the slider and miter gauge/fence (90 degrees only).  The way they price the set, it doesn't make much sense to buy the sliding table separately, just get the set.

The slider and the dust collection are the only reasons I'd buy the CMS. If they would improve the fence, I'd buy one. Surely, either Festool or an aftermarket company are going to come out with a Festool quality fence for the CMS.

  To me one of the things that would make the CMS worth having compared to other router tables is the sliding table.
