Help wanted - How to replace brushes on the CXS

Hi Everyone

I tried searching for this but had no luck...

I have smoke coming out from the back of the CXS and so I am not risking pressing the trigger again. It has had a lot of use and abuse so brushes perhaps?

Can anyone guide me through changing the brushes on the CXS. Also, I have looked at EKAT and am not sure what the brushes would be called as there are some strange names on the parts list !

Hi Peter,

I am on the train, so I could not investigate much, but the brushes should be named
„Kohlebürste“

I could not find this listed in the EKAT.
Maybe you need to switch the complete motor assembly?

I believe the whole motor needs to be replaced, but it's not much more than the brushes themselves would have cost.

Mine did that last year. The replacement is the whole motor, which was only $40ish. Swapping it out is quick.

Yes, I think that it is a motor swap and it does not look too difficult.
