Hello all,
I recently purchased a refurbished DF500 domino from Festool. As this is my very first domino I did want to be sure I'm right before I look stupid calling Festool(instead willing to risk looking stupid in front of the world ;D).
Attached is the tool as I received it. It looks to my untrained eye as though I'm missing "Festool suction holder DF 500 Q 467692 (USE 10027879)" or number 46 here:https://www.mmtoolparts.com/store/media/diagram/files/DF500-Q_498623.pdf
Thanks in advance for the insight!View attachment 1

Welcome to the FOG.  Your Domino has the "new" dust extraction port.  It has the twist to lock style to match the "new" vac hose ends.  There is much discussion about the new style fitting here and a search will yield a lot of discussions.  Mine is the same as yours and I very much dislike it as it is a real pain the connect the hose (for me) as opposed to the ribbed style that you called out in your post.  It works fine but takes some getting used to.

BTW...nice job doing the research for the P/N in your original question.

Thanks for the quick reply!
Admittedly, I didn't think to try the hose first as I excitedly unboxed it just before leaving for work and then posted here after I noticed the difference vs my TS55.
Looks like I'll be back later to grumble about small quantities of dust being lost on disconnect.
