So first up the mitre saw is a Dewalt DW716 12" Dual Bevel Compoud Mitre Saw.  And I use a Festool CT36 with it.  With a 36mm hose attached.  It gets great dust pull out but I am still getting a lot going out the sides of the dust "port" area of the saw itself.  I would like to continue to use the CT36 but is there something else I should look at adding in addition to what I have?

only thing i've seen is using a giant dust hood like in a shop setting or modifying the small bits of rubber that filter dust toward the vac hose. make those wings bigger.

I am adding the Kapex rubber boot to my Jet SCMS. Figure I will start there before considering other options..The FC hood is goofy looking and I just assume fashion something myself if I were going that route. Personally I will deal with the dust than that thing, it would take up space I don't have and looks wacky.

iv got the dw718 and it has the worst dc imaginable. 1% maybe with a ct22 at full with 36mm hose. the hood is the only way to go

chris would you think that 1 % is accurate.
i havent the money to replace it now but when a can i will.
i have a small dewalt chop saw for small work  like wooden ceilings and arcitrave .the dc is fairly good.
i leave the 718 for building site use.
you couldnt use
