Hello
Just trying to price some stuff up..

Local timber yard gave me some prices for oak veneered mdf 19mm 4' x 8' at (all prices not including vat) of £36 a sheet, how does this compare to you guys?
for the 6mm mdf oak veneer it's 28.13 a sheet..
He also priced me 22mm x 50m roll of american white oak iron on edging at £46...  [eek] I find it online for about £19 delivered.. what am i missing here?
Also a 50mm x 50m roll is £50.... Both edging veneers are about 0.5mm thick.

I don't but alot of this kinda stuff from them but over the years i have spent thousands on construction grade timber and fencing etc, i also have a trade account with them.

cheers

It depends on the grade and grain pattern and if it's single sided or double a sided. Sometimes what seems like a deal is just poor quality. It depends where you are and how much you are buying. If you can buy 20+ a time try timbmet, Richard Russell or lathams.

If just single sheet from a local merchants then Inc vat you won't get any change out of 50 quid down my way.

Hi [member=17934]jimbouk[/member]
It is double sided with an A grade and B grade side.
So £43.20 including the vat is what i paid per sheet.
Surely the 50m roll of 22mm iron on edging is way overpriced though?

ps i'm based in the north Highlands of Scotland and i ordered 3 sheets of 19mm and 2 sheets of the 6mm.
