This is a floor I installed and sanded. The curves were done at my shop and were each made out of (56) 1/8" strips.  The patterned floor was built in place and all the squares were cut using my ts 55 req.  The border around the room was also cut out with the track saw.  Cuts around the curves were done w a jigsaw (I wish I had my Carvex then!). All joints were properly tongue and grooved. Sanding was done with traditional floor sanding techniques.  Final coat is still wet in final pictures.

Thanks for the comments.  The floor is rift and quartered white oak.  3 1/2" wide in the patterned foyer, 4" straight lay in the other 2600'

Absolutely stunning. That looks like a massive headache keeping track of all the cuts, angles etc. Very nice work.

Thank you! Finish is Glitsa Multi-Cote, satin. The end result is not nearly as glossy as the last two pics.

Absolutly stunning work. How are the pieces attached to the subfloor? Nailed?

Almost every piece is glued and blind nailed through the tongue.  No visible top nails in the entire floor.  The tiny little triangles were glued only, and near the walls we used some top nails that hide under the base.

  Thanks for the info.

Here's another floor i just finished up.  The 55 did some more sweet cutting for me, but all of the beveling was done by hand with scrapers. I also used my ro90 and dts400 for some of the smaller areas.  This is white oak, some wormy, some knotty. 7-10" planks, 1-10' long.  Engineered, glued down to concrete.  The room that is a border only is 4"', also hand beveled.

This was an interesting refinish i did last week.  The room was 31'x31'.  The sanding wasnt particularly difficult, but the finish application was tough due to the direction changes in the wood and the sheer size of the room.  The entire job was 3000'+
