not many of these in australia something to do with paslode and legal action, either that or hitachi hasnt got the balls to put them in here 100% interested to hear of other users and your run with this gun

Hi Graeme.

I was recently in the market for a gas nailer and considered the Hitachi but was advised by a retailer to avoid  them as they kept getting returns with problems. He said he would'nt want to sell me one!
That was the 1st one maybe the latest is sorted?
Well, anyway I got a Makita as I've always had good Makita products.Only roofed a cabin with it so far but  it's been flawless...

Although they do not make a framing nailer I have to chime in on regarding cordless nailers in general. I purchased the Senco Fusion (15ga angled) the day it was released and have used it so far to install several thousand feet of trim without one mis-fire or other issue. This gun uses a LI battery and will shoot several hundred 2.5" nails on one charge. The difference between it an the Pasalode is there are no consumable gas cylinders to use, just recharge the battery.

They are coming out with an 18ga brad nailer also. I am suspect the technology is a bit under-powered for framing purposes.

i also love my senco fusion. been using it alot with out any issues.  the 18 gauge cant come out soon enough, lol

hi nigel
yep we have had the makita out here for a while now 2 ,it is i think a spitting image of the old shape paslode and a bit of hitachi as well
they look ok havent seen one being used . all us chippies here tend to use the orange things ,a few sencos floating about though, like the idea guys of the recharge nailers saw one at a feild day looked impressive ,no gas is a good thing sometimes i think
cheers graeme  [smile]
