Interesting video, just a piece of bent plastic sheet. Something similar could be fitted on HK55.

Kydex would be good for this application.  Not sure about a mounting location on the HK55EQ though.

Might be able to form some Kydex clips and then fasten those to the cover.  Would have to be sure the clips do not interfere with the blade guard if the clips fit inside of the blade housing.

Another option might be the parallel guide attachment.  Use some aluminum rods with threads cut on one end.
