Been tripping over my hose and cord for days and it finally hit me to just hang them from a rafter with a clamp and bungie. Works good enough and its tons better than stepping and tripping over hoses and cords in my pig sty of a work area!

While we all don't need another widget for Festool to make for us, I could see some kind of green and black accessory that works with their clamps or maybe some kind of rafter hook. I've also been thinking of using a pulley that would run between two clamps so that it will give me one axis of movement and would work OK in this situation where I'm confined to a walkway.

While the boom arm is probably great (never tried one) it always seemed Rube Goldberg'esque with the outriggers and stuff to stablize the boom arm. Here if you are just working on site, this makes the work area 1000% better!

Like the simple approach.  The suction hose holder is a good alternative if you do not want to spring for the boom arm -- keeps the hose and cord off the floor and at the same height as the MFT/3 too.
