I was goofing around with some tradeshow fixture parts that I got from my dad. He had them kicking around for the last 25 years and was about to take them and scrap them so I took some and hauled them from Minnesota back to Arizona.

I wasn't sure what I was going to do with them but today I was fooling around with them and realized that they seem to go together in a way that is similar to the festooll MFS template system.

I have never really looked at and certainly have not used the MFS system so I have no clue just how useful these may be.  I realize they're not nearly as extensive because they don't have the measurement marks on them and the tracks on the face of them nor the other parts that come with the system.

The ends fit into the track of the adjoining piece.  A torx 30 bit tightens them up.  Each rail is about 3 feet long.

Anyone out there have any insight as to just how useful these might be and in what kind of situations?

Thanks, Steve

After posting, I searched for awhile and finally figured out what it is.

The name of it is Octanorm.  I think it is a German company.  They make all sorts of modular wall, room, display things.

The track is narrower than Festool.  Maybe they have something that would be compatible?  Not sure if it needs to be though?

I would think one could possible find the stuff at surplus store fixture dealers or maybe some place dealing in used trade show booths...Las Vegas must have a bunch of those!

The website is much more extensive but this is what I have...they call them beams.  Each end has a tension lock.
