I have a fein turbo ii vac that I want to use with some festool tools.  The hose that came with it is ~1.5 inch diameter on the outside and 1.25 inch on the inside.  Are the festool hoses measured as id or od?  I need both a 27 hose and a 36 hose and I'm not sure what tool connector will match with my current hose.

The Festool 27 mm hose should fit directly into the Fein (at least it did in mine). I don't know about the 36mm. Based on the information provided to me, there is no point in buying a Festool anti-static hose to use with the Fein vacuum, so that is some money to be saved. Festool does sell non-anti-satic hoses (the same color as the Fein hose - silver). I have used it with my Fein vac since I bought the TS55 and it works just fine. (I do currently have a Festool vac but still use the Fein for some work.)

Sound like the festool hoses should be plug and play.  If I want to retrofit my hose what festool reducer sleeve should I replace my current end with (27 or 36)?

Not sure I understand the question. Did you mean what adapter you need to retrofit the existing Fein hose so it fits on Festool dust ports (27 and 36 MM)? If that is your question I would have to experiment with that. Fein has a rubberized end that fits on their hoses which is reduced in slight steps. I believe it works on some tools, but really never went that route. I know more about reducing the 36mm Festool hose to use on non-Festool tools. That is a little bigger challenge, but doable.
