Hose removal on CT Midi Gen 1?

Our shop has a original CT Midi with the handle built into the white hose garage; the hose has an elbow to connect. The hose has some blockage and I want to remove it from the vac but it doesn't seem to come out easily and it can only be rotated about 5-10 degrees so it doesn't seem like one twists it to remove it. Does this just sit in with a friction fit and I can force it out? Or is there some trick. Like I said, it's wedged between the handle and the side of the hose garage so twisting it is not possible. I searched but can't find a definitive answer.

I have a CT-MINI 1st Gen, but it's the same setup as the MIDI.  It's a friction fit.

I just twist/wiggle mine as I pull up on it.  The 90 should have shoulders molded into it that offer a little bit of grip assistance.

Thanks! I'll try this. I don't want to break it.
