Hose Sleeve, Antistatic Angle Adapter

I see the: Hose Sleeve, Antistatic Angle Adapter, Product No. 456806.
The description states: “Elbow hose end for connection in CT MIDI or CT MINI.”

What is the purpose of this product?

The mini and I presume the midi have their inlet on the top on the top of the unit. The adapter turns the hose out of the unit.

It comes with both the MINI and MIDI. It is a close elbow to turn the hose coming out of the top of the units so it is easier to nestle it in the hose garage.

No to both. The right  angle  piece is D50 on the vac side and only fits the D27 hose on the hose side.  You can put the D36 and D50 hoses directly into the Mini / Midi  without the Right Angle piece, but they stick straight up out of the vac.

As Seth pointed out, all of the hoses can come straight out of the top of the MINI or MIDI. The Y-Adapter can't be used because the hose garage gets in the way.
