I was wondering how aggressive the RO 90 is in delta mode. I've got the DTS 400, which I realize has small orbit, but I'm still wondering how much I'd gain with the Rotex. Thoughts?

Mike, it might be a little more aggressive because you've got a lot of power in a small area.  Do you have a particular job in mind or is this a general question?

It's a general question, but it was occasioned by my plan to sand and restain a friend's deck. That is, the scheduling of the job won't be affected by the answer, but I'd like to know for future reference.

It's very agressive in delta mode. Whenever it's in that mode, you'd be wise not to pick a fight with it.

Depends on grit. At 80 and under, badass. 100 and over, not so much. Thats where it lives for me (in delta), 80 and under. 100 and over, I will take the DTS for my delta experience all day long.

If it matters to you, you will get three useable corners on the sandpaper with the ro90.

More aggressive than an oscillating multi-tool, but not quite as aggressive as a larger, dedicated delta pad sander. I love mine, but I'm not sure I'd reach for it on a deck.
