Maybe you saw it in a supplemental manual?

FWIW I've never worried about this. My batteries usually get charged when they're empty and if I go on holiday or something just sit in the box at whatever state of charge they ended up at after the last job. I've rarely had a battery fail before what you'd expect after the manufacturer designated number of charge cycles and on the odd occasion they do, the £40/£50/60/70 that I may have spent to replace on a few occasions is more than worth the effort of devoting brain power to worrying just how much charge they're stored at over the years.

Sounds about right. Store in cool place at 80% charge. Best to put it in refrigerator, but risk condensation (corrosion).

[size=13pt]This is all in your Festool tool manual, in this case for a C15 drill. See Information on Battery Packs -

Note that it recommends long term battery storage at 40, not 80% charge. 40% charge is reached after 15 mins from empty. There appears to be confusion by some members regarding this. It probably stems from the fact the Festool Charger will not charge if the inserted battery has 80% or more of charge left.

In reality, I do not stress and follow [member=60286]bobfog[/member] 's advice!  [smile]
