How Many

Is there a "configurator" for matching up one's Sustainers to Sysports?

I have yet to find a list of what the smaller 500 / Mini Sys Port will hold. So here is what I have determined, for those interested:

Comes with 3 drawers

3 x SYS1

or

1 x SYS 2 and 2 SYS 1

or

2 x SYS 2 with some extra space in between

or

1 x SYS 2 and 1 x SYS 3

I did not check, but would guess one SYS 4 would fit on its own

And as an aside on the SYSPORTs, if you are buying some, I would strongly suggest that you have a dealer drop ship them to you from Indiana on a pallet, or arrange for local pickup as Tom at Tool Home offers. Mine came in perfect direct from Festool (through Bob Marino), but others I have seen or read about shipped through the UPS machine get hammered. My single smaller SYSPORT came in from Amazon and had a small ding on one side on the front, still useable, and Amazon gave me a nice discount so I kept it!

Bottom, second from left - SYS-4 gone astray?
What are you counting..??!!
That's where the upgraded TS55 goes, its in the pile on the right, sold the 'older' model. Love the organization!

But the TSC55 comes in a SYS-5!?! Where are going to fit that? [big grin]

Thanks everyone, I guess I am not crazy as I use or intend to use them all. They are just so well made and are so precise.

I just brought home my new CMS and have started to put it together. I know this is going to be a great tool and will get plenty of use.

Next week, the KAPEX!

I am just curious, are there a lot of home hobby people like me that spend a ton of money on Festool, or am I the only one?

Certainly not the only one as others in this thread have indicated.  As for me, I got my first drink of the green kool aid in Dec 2013.  Now I have a TS55, MFT/3, RO125, CT36, Carvex and an OF1400.  I will buy a Domino before the sale ends here in the US.  Leaning toward the 500.  Will know which model for sure Saturday as my local dealer is having a demo day.  After the Domino it's likely a CMS.

... and still no KAPEX [scared] [big grin]

Sadly no Kapex yet and if you look closely you will notice that I'm also missing a OF2200 for the CMS and a DF700 just for fun and some sanders [tongue]

Probably a Kapex is next on my shopping list (after acquiring some more hand tools and actually using the tools that I currently own on projects for a change), just can't make up my mind should I get the MFT-stand version or the UG-version. The UG-wings look better with a solid rail the whole lenght, but the UG stand doesn't fit anywhere in the house at the moment...

I'm sure you know this already, but the UG-wings fit on the Kapex, so work just as well with the MFT KAPEX as they do with the UG stand, and are available separately to the UG stand itself.

They also attach to the CMS (infeed, outfeed) and to the MFT/3 (infeed, outfeed, capture), so have multiple uses. In fact, they're pretty awesome in their own right!  [big grin]
