First step, Elect a Judge.

Set some rules, ya now tools in action.

Points for composition etc.

Must include Human.

No adorable pets and Festool, 'cause they always win.

Modest Prizes, such as first place one week in Cincinnati, second place 2 weeks?

Here is my entry.

I'm not purdy enough to be seen on camera, but I'll vote. Cincinnati is the booby prize, right?

Hmmm... Would these little guys count?

OK, OK, there's a human in this one (sort of):

Of course, some people consider all of that hair more appropriate on a Gorilla, but...  ;D

Uh oh...  I forgot about John's assistants!  (Standard comment about John's pics... "What tools?!?")

Covered under the "no adorable pets" rule.  ::)

I'm sorry I don't have an entry.  A week in Cincinnati, provided it isn't July or August, sounds great.  Chili for breakfast, chili for lunch, sauerbraten for dinner...

hmmm, Festool in action shots ???

YES, YES, YES !!!

now I have to go through my iphoto archive.

see ya tomorrow.

tick tock, tick tock

Per, you said no adorable animals, but you didn't say no adorable children.

So, here is my second contest entry:

Last January, I put my 5 year old Grandson Ethan to work helping me to restore the oak floor in our kitchen.

Cincinnati here I come!  :)

The legs on that red MFT are awfully high no wonder you need a ladder to reach the top  ;D ;) :D

In this shot and the next one we are trimming down a bent door lamination using an aluminum rectangle tube as the guide.

Ladders work, but I find that stilts provide more maneuverability.  ;D

Frank,
rolling around laughing with a picture in my head of you working at your big red MFT in stilts.......OMG...LMAO...... ;D :D ;)

I was struck by the Sysport in Frank's photo (bottom left corner). It's a big one, and appears to be made out of brick. Looks like it would be all-weather, though...  :D ;)

Actually, I don't have an entry either, but a week in Cincy wouldn't bad at all.  Lots of good jazz clubs and other live musical entertainment.  (Have you ever heard of the University of Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music?  Most of the faculty a accomplished performers with reording contracts, and several play in the clubs as well as teach.)  Several good restaurants.  I don't know if it is still there but they used to have one of the best French restaurants in the USA.  And one of he best Indian restaurants I have experienced.  Graeter's ice cream (second to none), and a Jack Daniel's distillary.  Montgomery's ribs - worth the wait.  You could be awarded a much worse prize.
