Hope we do not find out tomorrow!   [unsure]

Kev you with us or 'the old country'?   [smile]

I hardly missed a minute of the recent series tuning in at 6am here, but this series could be tough. I think the matches start at 9pm my time!

Both sides have won 31 series and drawn 5, so this is the tiebreaker. I reckon we'll make it 4 wins in a row. You must be starting to feel like I did in the 90s! Bell, Cook, Prior, Broad and Jimmy to do the job once more.

This Ashes series is going to kill me over the next weeks. Coverage doesn't start till 8pm...going to be some late nights coming up. 139/6 right now.

Day one, and dominate English bowling again tests the Australian openers, again leaving the middle order to try and salvage some respectability in Australia's first innings run total. Already sounding like the test series in England. Oh dear!   [sad]

All finished at 6pm down here, listened whilst I worked, didn't hear all the opening 'disaster' though as I was belt sanding.

Oz first. It's handy to have a backup in multi nation events though ...  [wink]

I went to bed miserable at 89/7.

It's like the 1990s all over again. I suppose it will make the series more interesting, but I was never fooled by the 3-0 score in England. The series was much closer than the score suggests.

Anyway, a long way to go yet.

Well that was a turn around but as said above, early days.

Reminded me of -

Anyway let's see what happens today, may even rain!!   [sad]

Day 3

[big grin]

Just out of interest, you guys in Canada and UK listening to BBC radio, watching on free to air/cable or both [as in vision with  sound replaced by radio], or Tablet/phone?

I tend to have radio only while I work.

Stephen

I just watch the sports news in the morning, I need my beauty sleep. Looks you got the first match in the bag. [mad]

Yes looks like one to us, finally.

The 'experts' on Australian Broadcasting Commission Radio are predicting Adelaide to be a draw due to the way the wicket has been behaving for local games in recent weeks, and that the next real test will be Perth. We will see.

After two tests, Australia vs England.

It's just plain awful. I can't understand why England have collapsed so badly. Getting out again and again to terrible shots, missing catches, etc. Hopefully, they'll change it before Perth.

I can't understand it, it must be the massive home advantage. That's sport, just not nice on this side of the fence.

On another post I presented information regarding the dietary needs of the English team.
There is some sarcasm in the Australian press that  food and bowling are giving the English team indigestion!   [big

But the bad news is that the Boxing Day Test at the MCG has now lost some gloss.

Congratulations to young Stokes on a fine century.
