I am the chowder-head that tried to cut his hand off twice. No SS in 1987 and I am unable to get the cabinet saw into my basement shop so I waited for the contractors version. The ER visit with my lousy insurance was about 2300.00 out of pocket, so the SS was a no-brainer. When the wife says go buy a better saw I was on it! I mostly do refinishing and repair and occasional custom furniture one-offs. I make my own picture frames for my art work as well as restoring our 1917 vintage historical home. I mounted the SS on a shop-made base with 4 swivel casters to move it around the shop better. Its a great saw and watching the demo live really brings it home that the thing works. The SS rep. pushed the hot dog into the blade as fast as he could push it, way faster than you would in normal use.
