I bought a flippin Blackberry

Good Morning,
I was one of the earliest adopters of Dragon software.  Back in 1995-96, when I was working at Clarke School for the Deaf, we were looking into various technologies to assist deaf children.  DragonNaturallySpeaking came up as a potential product to help them, and they sent me the software to test out.  That was back when Dragon Systems was still a small company and I could get on the phone and talk with the developers.  It did not do very well for the deaf kids, but I started using it in lots of my own tasks and was impressed.

I updated the software several times, but I stopped using it in 2001, and have not kept up on developments.

Using it for interviews is an enticing idea.  But I'm not sure how well it would do in that situation.  Everyone's voice is quite different.  Also, I often do interviews with two or three people at a time.

Michael,

Do you use it?

I am not so sure that would be a great idea for this buckaroo, as I suffer from

a terminal case of north eastern tourettes.

I don't, use the software that is.

I use a Mac and the Dragon software was one of the few programs that tempted me to get a PC
but my need for transcription diminished anyway.

Dragon has pretty consistently been rated as the best of it's kind but you might have to get the pro version to really be impressed.

Oh my freeking gawd, I'm so glad I walked away from that world in 2000 and don't have one! ;)

With that, I'm going to turn off my computer and go to bed!

Oh, but Per, get a better looking assistant for your posts.  Blond hair, tight T shirt, hey with your logo on the T too.

Aww, what the hell, forget the t shirt!  :o

Have fun with your neww toy!
